The Problem

If like me you have a Kubuntu Karmic install and are trying to import svg from the Open Clip Art site, you've probably seen the error below.

The Solution

Alas, fear not! The solution is fairly simple, just install the package libgnomevfs2-extra, restart Inkscape and the problem will be gone!

sudo apt-get install libgnomevfs2-extra
